To develop and release a fast track project in support of a market – driven specification within niche geographical markets. The design objective of this global medical equipment supplier – a reliable gas delivery system that minimized flow turbulence and flow restrictions, achieved flow requirements across a dynamic range of inlet pressures and simplified their assembly.

NORGREN SOLUTION

FAS engineers completed a review and revision of the customer’s pneumatic and flow circuit to achieve optimal performance. This project included component engineering and manifold interface design and validation. The result – an integrated custom manifold allowing FAS to deliver a fully tested plug-and-play product platform. The unit size was reduced by 40% and improves reliability and service life by eliminating 70% of the original design`s number of fittings and tubing and the associated potential leak points.
