Norgren showcases Engineering Advantage at Medtec event
Norgren, an international market leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control technologies, will showcase a range of innovative components from its market-leading portfolio for the life sciences sector on stand 1702 at Medtec 2012 at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre from 23-24 May 2012.
All the high-performance products on show draw on extensive market knowledge and Norgren’s unrivalled pedigree in developing innovative solutions which keep the company at the forefront of progress in the sector while delivering Engineering Advantage for customers.
On display will be the company’s acclaimed RM1 series of miniature precision regulators for air and medical gases, boasting excellent flow, pressure drop and hysteresis characteristics. Supplied in a cartridge design for manifold mounting, RM1 products can operate as stand-alone units or be integrated into customised manifolds.
Visitors can also take a closer look at the company’s high pressure regulator line-up. Designed as a modular solution for integration into customised manifolds, this product offers excellent regulation and flow characteristics. Accurate pressure control and low pressure drop are just two of the key features of this product which can operate at pressures up to 300 bar with a CE-approved pressure relief valve.
The Norgren range of 2/2 and 3/2 FAS and Buschjost media separation valves are compact solenoid products with integrated core tubes combining compact design with low power consumption and the ability to handle the most aggressive gases and liquids without being susceptible to calcification and magnetisation of foreign particles.
Meanwhile, the company’s Flatprop 16mm 2/2 way proportional valve range can cope with air or neutral gases and is available either directly actuated or pressure compensated with spring return. Specifiers can also select from cartridge or flange mounted products, all of which deliver fast response times with long life and low power consumption.
Finally, Kloehn Syringe Pumps are programmable fluid pumps delivering unrivalled precision and accuracy. Incorporating borosilicate glass syringes with high fluidic precision and custom-designed needles and probes, the range is fully RoHS and WEEE compliant. Options include inline products and a zero dead volume syringe.
Ian Houston, UK Head of Business Development, Life Sciences, for Norgren, commented: “The Medtec show once again represents a great opportunity for us to showcase our extensive high-specification range to the leading players in the life sciences sector – and how these products are designed and developed in line with our brand campaign ‘You can see our thinking’.
“We believe we have the in-house knowledge and expertise to provide a solution for virtually any application requirement and are challenging show visitors to come along to the stand to discuss their own projects and how we can help meet their goals in terms of efficiency, longevity and performance.”
