Auto return and in-stroke latch mean that the Smart Crust Breaker cylinder spends far less time subjected to the intense heat of the pot. As soon as full out-stroke is reached (the crust is broken) it will immediately return to full in-stroke.

• Customers want crust breakers to last at least 7 years; this is the design life of the Smart Crust Breaker Cylinder
• Existing competitors’ cylinders are widely reported to only last between 6 and 30 months before requiring service attention

Solution:

• End-of-stroke sensing valves ensure the cylinders are not subjected to un-necessary dwell in the pot
• Much less heat is conducted back to the seals, bearings, wipers etc.
• The latch ensures the Smart Cruct Breaker remains in the ‘In Stroke’ position during maintenance
• Breaker points will last longer
