Posi-Clik Fittings Greatly Reduce Air Leaks

Norgren Global Vehicle Technologies' new Posi-Clik fittings feature a "click" technology that allows installers to feel and hear when the connection is secured and installation is complete. With a reliable first-time connection, end-of-line rework due to insufficient tube insertion is eliminated. In addition, Posi-Clik fittings provide double-seal technology, incorporating both an environmental seal and an air system pressure. This prevents paint, dirt and water entry and eliminates abrasion due to pressure seals caused by contamination.

Other features and benefits of Posi-Clik fittings include:

• By allowing more efficient tube connection, Posi-Clik fittings help reduce or eliminate build-up areas in manufacturing and provide better continuous process improvement.
• Posi-Clik fittings can tolerate a wider range of temperatures than other fittings and connectors.
• Posi-Clik tube supports are molded from high-strength plastics with a larger orifice size, resulting in greater flow for the same size fitting PIF size.
• This technology is also available as a straight or shaped cartridge fitting. The Posi-Clik cartridge, which requires a much lower insertion force than current traditional cartridges, can be installed directly into an unmachined diecast port form or into the standard SAE port form.

Available in metric or standard measurement systems, Posi-Clik fittings can be installed with standard tools and require no special sockets. In case of incomplete assembly by the operator, the "double safety lock" feature of these fittings ensures that the body is retained on the adaptor.
