Our Norgren GVT offices in Bristol, UK were formerly known as the IMI Webber offices within the Norgren Group. It was not until 2007 that they officially became a part of the Norgren GVT Group. This year marks a special year for our Bristol location as this year marks their 80th anniversary! It was during 1928 that Ronald Arthur Webber founded "RA Webber Electrical Components" and set into motion the actions that led to the successful and innovative company that is part of our group today.
Since their formation in 1928, the Bristol office has produced or sold as agents, products ranging from transformers, public address systems, wireless apparatuses, electrical fittings,gramaphones, records, phonographs, sound recording machines, musical instruments, light communication devices, equipment for televisions and most importantly solenoid valves.

| 1928 | RA Webber Electrical Components was founded in Bristol, UK by Ronald Arthur Webber. |
| 1936 | Foundation of BEMA (British Engineering Manufacturers Association) along with Ray Engineering. |
| 1938 | First known address - 8 Old King Street producing transformers, solenoids and public address systems. |
| 1948 | Company headquarters moved to Forest Road, Kingswood and production of coil windings begins. |
| 1969 | Company's longest serving employee, Terry Prideaux who is currently the Works Manager, joins as an Electrical Technician. |
| 1973 | Company passes into the hands of Mr. Webbers son, who starts the design & production of pneumatic solenoids using the distinctive red & black design that was originally inspired by the colors of a roulette wheel. |
| 1986 | Webber Solenoid Valves is acquired by IMI plc. |
| 1991 | Company headquarters is relocated to our current premises at City Business Park, Easton. |
| 2005 | Webber becomes part of the Norgren Fluid Controls Group (FAS) |
| 2007 | Webber becomes part of the Global Vehicle Technologies Group, further enhancing the strength of the Commercial Vehicles Business within Norgren. |
As part of the GVT group, our Bristol office brings their capabilities, knowledge and experience in providing solutions for the automotive and commercial vehicles sectors. Their product development is focused on providing customer tailored solutions for the light vehicle segment. Past solutions include Suspension Systems, ABS Braking Pilots, Emissions Control Systems, and Seat Height Controls.
