4-PACK ASSEMBLY (4X MSVA)Existing trucks were using manually actuated, dash mounted air valves to control air operated accessories such as the fifth wheel slide, the suspension dump, the differential lock and the air horn. This required a significant amount of air tubes to be routed into the cab and to the dash.
Norgren GVT wanted to create a robust and low cost modular solenoid valve assembly on a base plate capable of withstanding the heavy truck chassis mounting environment. |

Our engineered solution involved the development of three solenoid valves (Normally Closed, Normally Open and Horn) which could be placed on a base mounting point that could then be mounted on the chassis and controlled by the dash mounted electrical switches. The base plate contains the electrical circuits between a single harness connector and the solenoid valves.

7-PACK ASSEMBLY (7X MSVA) WITH J-1939 While many Heavy Truck Chassis ECU's only had four available discrete outputs to control the solenoids for accessory air functions, there were trucks which required fourteen solenoid valves to control all of the available accessory air functions.
Norgren GVT wanted to create a robust and low cost base plate for all existing solenoid modules which would hold up to seven solenoid valves, control the solenoids based on a J1939 signal, provide a J1939 signal to a second base place, and be capable of withstanding the heavy truck chassis environment. |

Our engineered solution involved developing a base mounting plate which could hold up to seven solenoid valve modules, contained an Electrical Control Module (ECU), was chassis mountable, and could be controlled by the trucks chassis ECU via a J1939 interface.
