Demanding off road performance requires the almost instantaneous transfer of air across the axle in either direction. This is normally done using seperate X-Link valves, which can be large, heavy, power hungry and expensive.
One major OEM came to us looking for a new pneumatic control option for their SUV Air Suspension.
Norgren GVT was able to create a solution that was smaller, lighter, energy efficient and less in cost. We used our existing cartridge valve and incorporated our balance valve design in order to develop a small and light valve block with low power consumption. |

This valve was then integrated into the axle valve block, which eliminated two valve blocks and the associated piping, fittings, and wiring. With this simplified installation, we were also able to reduce leak paths which had been present prior to this solution. |
