Success Story - Variable Geometry Turbo Charger Control

A customer required a solution for controlling their Variable Geometry Turbo Charger for both their heavy duty and medium duty trucks. We were able to provide precise pneumatic truck air control, mounted on the engine, which would function in the normal ambient temperature of 125° C.

Components of the solution included a fully integrated closed loop pressure control device (Fluidtronic®) based on our ND3 Proportional Cartridge platform, our Diaphragm Actuator, a pressure sensor and a control board.

Norgren GVT was chosen as the supplier for this project as we were able to provide the following advantages to the customer;

• A high temperature solution which included forward electronics and a sensor - A Plug & Play solution for the customer!
