TRANSMISSION CONTROL Regardless of whether you are looking for a supplier of components, or someone that can create a customized semi-integrated or a fully automated solution, we can provide you with what you need. We have solutions for Shift Assist, Semi-Automated Shift, and Automated Shift systems.   We specialize in creating customized solutions such as Gear Shift Control Modules, where all of your pneumatic functions are combined into a single solution, thus reducing complexity, space needs and assembly time for you. Possibilities include solutions with integral ECU and sensors, modified manuals with add on controls, and integrated Retarders.

Specific Products Include our... SmartShift® AMT Controller - A proprietary controller for Automated Manual Transmissions (AMT). The SmartShift employs patented non-contact switch technology, and is provided in a wide variety of column-mounted configurations that interface with multiple transmission makes and models.

CLUTCH CONTROL Norgren GVT is currently working on developing solutions for improving the Clutch Control of a vehicle. We are looking at creating solutions that meet the following aims: Increased system integration for better control Singe devices with all functions integrated for reducing complexity Robust design suitable for Heavy Duty truck usage Cost effective solutions versus current options available Smaller size and reduced weight We also have a range of 2/2 to 5/2 NC (Normally Closed) Proportional valves as well as Master Control Valves which are designed for use in Transmission Applications. Features include: Small armatures with low mass Single component design Reduced power consumption No additional air consumption High vibration resistance High durability - Significantly reduced alternation of load forces Specific Products Include our... Hydraulic Fan Clutch Control - In order to provide hydraulic control capable of surviving an on-engine under hood environment, we designed a proportional valve with a pressure relief capability. This valve is mounted in a custom engineered integrated shaft design onto the engine.
