Printing letters and signs by point generation, ink jet machines require solenoid valves that have extremely short response times and are chemically compatible with inks and corrosive solvents. Norgren produces a family of standard inkjet valves which have been specially developed for inkjet applications, and benefit from years of experience and expertise in the ink jet industry.
Our solutions engineered for the inkjet industry include:
» Printhead Valves: Norgren's CIJ printhead valves are used to control the flow of the inks and the cleaning solution. They control ink viscosity levels, diverter levels and the solvent.
» Ink distribution valves
» Ink distribution manifolds: Norgren has experience and capability in creating customised ink distribution manifolds. Products integrated in these solutions include viscometers, dampers, jet pumps and pressure transducers.
» Complete air dryer solutions: The systems provide positive air pressure to the inkjet printhead, and ensure that the ink is not contaminated.
Our base products are then modified to meet the specific requirements of the customer. They are designed to minimise the risk of the ink accumulating, drying and clogging, ensuring long-term and reliable operation in a wide range of conditions. Tailoring of these valves occurs with the static and dynamic seal materials, the solenoid coil size and power, and the valve’s compatibility with specific inks and cleaning solvents.
