We offer a wide range of standard products and customised solutions for the metallurgy that are in use around the world. We are also able to provide complete package solutions, focussing on plant efficiency and reduced running costs to provide customer value.
For metallurgy applications, we provide pneumatic actuators with high temperature seals and an extremely robust construction. One of our standard products is the Crustbreaker cylinder that guarantees a long operating life at 225°C. Additional Air Saver Units help to minimise running costs due to 57% reduction in air consumption, and to increase actuator life due to reduced dwell. 1 Norgren’s high temperature valves are made of lightweight, corrosion resistant materials and have high flow capacity. Our range of valves designed for metallurgy includes valves for controlling water, DEMI water and for the control of hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and argon. It also covers safety valves for cutting applications that are inherently failsafe without residual pressure and support dynamic self monitoring. In addition, Norgren offers dust filter valves for cleaning dust filters featuring captive internal components and fast response due to minimised volume above diaphragm. A factory fitted silencer prevents noise and ingress of foreign matter
