Norgren’s engineers design customer-specific solutions to meet the requirements and constraints of the particular carriage. Norgren’s doors easily surpass the 30 minute fire barrier requirement of the BS 6853 Cat 1B standard, and do not allow passenger entrapment (see photo to the right showing the door before the fire test, at the start of the test, and after 30 minutes). The doors also automatically close upon loss of power or air pressure.

Our door solutions are reliable, using our ranges of proven Norgren pneumatic products including Excel 32 3/2 Valves, ball valves, pressure switches, specially-designed silencers, pressure regulators and flow regulators. They are easy to maintain, with specially designed filters that are easy to replace, and the systems operate smoothly and safely. They are also compact, and engineered to fit into even the smallest of space envelopes.
