USANorgren opens new distribution center in Louisville, KY

Norgren is pleased to announce, effective Monday, May 14, 2012 we will open our new Distribution Center in Louisville, KY.
Citing improved efficiency and closer proximity to customers, Norgren, Inc., is insourcing their distribution and moving the operation to Louisville, KY. From this new location over 70 percent of orders will be in transit three days or less.
The decision to insource rather than continue with third party logistics was based on efficiency and flexibility. “Insourcing with trained Norgren employees means we can respond more quickly and accurately to changing customer requirements,” according to Norgren logistics manager Chris Adams. “This will make product configuration and kitting more efficient and help shorten lead times.”
Norgren will begin shipping from their new Louisville distribution center on May 14, 2012. Customers can continue to work as they always have with their current customer service representatives, but now they can expect faster delivery and quicker response to changing requirements in most circumstances.
