Building an engineering career path: from curiosity to impact

Inspiration doesn’t always arrive in a lecture theatre or laboratory. Sometimes it begins with curiosity, hands-on learning, and the encouragement to explore. For Sinneli Jayampathy, that spark came early - playing with a Meccano set and building a remote‑controlled car alongside her brother. What started as childhood curiosity has grown into a rewarding engineering career, and today Sinneli is a Product Manager within IMI’s Industrial Automation sector, helping translate engineering expertise into practical solutions for industrial customers across EMEA.
