Breakthrough Engineering for a Better World
We take our responsibilities to the environment and the communities in which we operate very seriously as it resonates with our Breakthrough Engineering for a Better World purpose. Our behaviour is driven by ESG considerations and principles and our ambition to deliver a better world.
Doing the Right Thing, the Right Way
Inherent in our purpose is creating a better world for our customers, our communities and society. It permeates all that we do. We are mindful of the impact of our operations and our products and we care about our people and our external relationships. This inspires us to strive for a future that is more sustainable, inclusive and responsible.
Better World Team
The Better World team co-ordinates the whole IMI Group’s approach to ESG with particular focus on these areas: our carbon footprint, our products, our policies and governance and our people.

Diversity and Inclusion
Attracting and retaining a diverse and talented workforce from different backgrounds and cultures is key to our success. We’re committed to achieving equality and positive change across the industry, and our Diversity and Inclusion Policy seeks to ensure everyone is treated fairly and is free from any form of discrimination.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of our employees and that of our other stakeholders, including our customers and suppliers, is paramount. This unconditional commitment to health and safety is also consistent with our strategy to significantly improve the operational performance and the efficiency of our businesses, based on proactive continuous improvement.
Community Engagement
Each year, our employees take part in a range of activities in their local communities, supporting a charity or project, ranging from collecting litter from beaches to creating wildlife gardens in schools.
Code of Conduct
Our commitment to responsible business starts with our code of conduct which embraces the way we act, look, behave, impact and continuously improve. Each and every employee receives regular training in line with our Code of Conduct which is enforced through e-learning modules and face-to-face sessions.
Our Sustainable Supply Chain – Conflict of Minerals (3TG)
We conduct advanced due diligence on our business partners, including our agents and distributors with whom we share our anti-corruption requirements and policies. And all our businesses carry out checks to understand potential customers’ activities and to identify risks that may be involved in supplying to them.
