F-Plus Hollow Rod Compact Cylinder
(WF Series)

If your application is tight on space, Norgren's Alternate Body Compact Cylinder is the answer. The low profile design combined with a hollow rod, allows customers to do multiple functions in one unit. The cylinder can actuate to move parts while also passing material or product through the rod.

WF Series Features:

  • Double rod end design with a hollow rod
  • Hard chrome plated piston rods improve rod seal life and performance
  • Bumper design maximizes bumper performance and life
  • Available NPT threads to allow a proper connection for passing air or other media through the rod.

  • Stainless steel fasteners add value at no extra charge

F-Plus Stainless Steel Compact Cylinder
(SF Series)

SF Series Stainless Steel Cylinders are designed specifically for applications that require compact cylinders that will be exposed to frequent, corrosive wash down as is common in a number of industries such as food and beverage, health and beauty, or medical applications. The end caps are also designed to eliminate catch points by limiting the number of mounting holes to only those necessary to mount the cylinder.

SF Series Features:

  • Bore Sizes: 9/16”, ¾”, 1-1/16”, 1-1/2”, 2”, 2-1/2” 3”, 4”
  • All Stainless Steel construction is highly corrosion resistant.
  • Hard chrome plated stainless steel piston rod maximizes rod seal life
  • IP69K rated design protects the cylinder from damage during wash down
  • Minimal mounting holes present only where specified reduces catch points
  • Food grade plastic rod bushing and food grade grease lubricant for food processing and packaging applications
  • Hygienic design is easy to clean and eliminates holes and crevices that could propagate bacterial growth.

Mounting Options:

F-Plus Three Position Compact Cylinder
(3F Series)

The Norgren 3F Series is a multiple position, double acting, single rod end cylinder that provides three positions with just one cylinder. When air is supplied to Port 1, the cylinder extends to position 1. When air is supplied to Port 2, the cylinder extends to position 2. When air is supplied to Port 3, the cylinder is fully retracted.

SF Series Features:

  • Bore sizes:  9/16", 3/4", 1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3”, 4”
  • 304 stainless steel body prevents corrosion
  • Standard oil impregnated bronze rod bushing
  • Stainless piston rod
  • Maximum Pressure:  200 PSI (air only)
  • Other positions (4, 5, etc.) are available as specials.

How it works:

F-Plus Multi-Force Compact Cylinder
(QF Series)

Norgren QF Series cylinders are double acting, single end rod cylinders that multiply the force output by supplying air to multiple pistons on extension. They save space and eliminate the need for a higher pressure system. Only one piston is powered on the return stroke, saving air volume and operating costs.

QF Series Features:

  • Bore sizes:  2-1/2", 3", 4"
  • 304 stainless steel body prevents corrosion
  • Standard oil impregnated bronze rod bushing
  • Stainless piston rod
  • Precision machined anodized aluminum heads
  • Maximum Pressure:  100 PSI (air only)
  • Saves space and eliminates need for high pressure air system
  • Saves air volume and operating costs due to one piston powered on return stroke

How it works:

F-Plus Extruded Compact Cylinder
(EC Series)

Norgren EC Series Compact Cylinders are aluminum extruded body air cylinders. The body is anodized in a special PTFE-impregnation process that provides superior wear characteristics. With its streamlined look, low cost, and low-profile switch, it is an excellent choice for space saving machine design and is interchangeable with similar models.

EC Series Features:

  • Standard metric threads for ports, mounting, and rods (Specify "E" option for inch threads)
  • Bore sizes: 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 80mm, 100mm
  • Dimensionally interchangeable with similar compact extruded aluminum body cylinders
  • (303) stainless steel piston rod
  • Grooves in body profile for low profile switches
  • FOUR models - double acting single or double rod end and single acting, spring return or extend

Models Available:

F-Plus Guided Extruded Compact Cylinder
(GC Series)

Norgren GC Series cylinders are compact, non-rotating, aluminum extruded body air cylinders. Non-rotation is achieved through twin guide shafts and an anodized aluminum tooling plate with high strength stainless steel fasteners. With its streamlined look, low cost, and low-profile switch, it is an excellent choice for space saving machine design.

GC Series Features:

  • Standard metric threads for ports, mounting, and rods (Specify "E" option for inch threads)
  • Bore sizes: 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 80mm, 100mm
  • Dimensionally interchangeable with similar compact extruded aluminum body cylinders
  • (303) stainless steel piston rod
  • Hard chrome plated guide shafts
  • X option more than doubles maximum cylinder side load and moment

F-Plus Multi-Position Extruded Compact Cylinder
(3C Series)

The Norgren 3C Series compact extruded flat, multiple position cylinder, is a double acting, single rod end cylinder that provides three positions in one cylinder package. This cylinder has a two piston design that saves space using the existing footprint of the EC Series and eliminates the need for an additional cylinder. This unit can help simplify machine changeovers, there-by saving costs.

3C Series Features:

  • Standard U.S. customary (inch) threads for ports, mounting, and rods
  • Bore sizes: 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 80mm, 100mm
